same with cams, high lift cams shift the powerband to the right, giving you lots of power up top, which again for a stroker, is not ideal. Not saying it wont work, just saying I wouldn't do it.

duration changes RPM range more than lift. If you look at the GSC R2, its a 274 "high lift" specific to lower revving stroker engines.
That said, dont go with the 284 high lift unless you are revving past 8500 rpm.

On a 2.3, use the R2 or the Kelford 276HL. You won't be revving high enough to use the duration the of the Kelford 284, or the comparable GSC S3. But the additional lift of the 276HL or R2 will help better fill the cylinder.
