Not really engine dependent. It's all about tuning and not being dumb by letting it run dry.

denatured alcohol is a lot easier on the pump than methane and makes virtually identical gains

Where I am Denatured alcohol is $15/gal. Methanol is $4/Gal.
I also run 50/50 (Meth/Distilled Water) so it's not too hard on the pump.

not direct experience but a really good friends. he's been running denatured alcohol for many many years now and hasn't had a single pump failure. from what i hear, pumps on meth setups tend to die about every other year and need replacing
