mixing different cams

Does anyone know if you can mix different companies of intake and exhaust cams, as long as they are both the correct cam and lift . I was wondering about using a Tomei 260 intake, with an HKS 264 exhaust cam. Can this be done????

What goal are you shooting for? I think there might be better ways of getting the results.
