I got a 03 evo 8 that has a failing transfer case. I am going to do a stage 2 through jacks transmission and was wondering what you guys think of the wavetrac front lsd upgrade. I am making near 400hp and want this to be the last tcase upgrade I do. I also read that the rear diff on 03 also doesnt have lsd. I daily the car and take it to the local track on the weekends. I also go up to the mountains on occasions so if any one can chime in that has a wavetrac in the front that would be cool. Also I am thinking of upgrading the rear diff as well. I want to be able to slide around the corners to get decent times, should I go with a evo rs rear diff? what would be the best option 1.5 or 2.0

You should send it to TRE, get it rebuilt, and get a wavetrac from Jon. You'll spend less money, and you'll have a better finished product.
Your car has a rear LSD, the clutch plates are just stacked incorrectly from the factory. John can get your rear diff where it needs to be as well. You should give him a call.
LSD in the front definitely helps. I noticed the wavetrac coming from the OEM LSD. I'm sure going to an LSD from an OEM open front diff will be a huge change.

just called tre and I will be sending my tcase to them next month also doing the 12stack upgrade to the rear diff. Has anyone used the weir 12 stack rear diff upgrade with the wavetrac front diff, if so how does it feel.

If you call TRE back, he'll tell you haw monay of those weir kits come into him broken. I would suggest sending him your rear diff with the tcase and get them done all at once. The rear diff with all the options (as long as your ring/pinion is good) runs right around $1100.
