I just got my car back yesterday after they attempted to look into the p0300 issue more. As far as this throttle issue, their tech said he thinks it's a normal thing for a turbo car (lol!) but that they'd be happy to look into it more. I actually gave them a copy of this thread and the service manager is reading it today. When I hear more I'll post it up.

If these two issues would get cleared up, I would be SUCH a happy evo owner.

I heard more today... apparently he spoke with tech line about this too (in addition to my p0300 error issues, if you're following the other thread). The tech line guy went as far as to blame "the internet" for creating a lot of controversy about a non-problem such as this... but he also agreed that it does sound like the TPS is out of alignment or whatever. So whenever I get my car in for the damn tranny replacement I will have them look that over specifically, which they apparently didn't do last time I was in. =/

What's up with your tranny man. Mine has been **** ever since I bought it. I am just trying to gather fuel for when I go in and try to have them fix it for me. Thanks.

bpclements, nothing except that it's causing a vibration which is triggering the knock sensor. See here:

I'm using a Tomei Recirc BOV and get the same problem.. however, i did notice that when i turned off the SAFCII, the problem went away. Does anyone else here use the SAFC?

Angel of Mercy, have you tried running w/ the safc off for a few days to verify that it absolutely doesn't occur on your car without it running?

It comes and goes as you know.

I called and they can't reproduce the problem. I will go there after work and see if I can reproduce the problem for the EVO Tech.

Also they checked the ECU and TPS is fine so the problem is not the TPS. They are checking with tech line to see if there are any updates for ECU. The problem may be the ECU. The problem didn't occur when George (Boost Solutions) hooked up his AEM EMS but only 5 minutes of driving was done so the problem may still occur with the AEM standalone.
