Who makes the best High Flow Cat.....

as it says who is the best flowing cat... don't want a test pipe because Up here in N. NJ they like to do inspections on the side of the road with the sniffer.... so as long as you have a cat you are OK.. NO cat = 5,000 in fines...

TIA

from what I've heard on the forums either go with the Ultimate Racing https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ate+racing+cat or the Random Tech https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=high+flow+cat

Ultimate Racing and it's only $150.00
Al/Dynoflash tested it against his test pipe and it only made 5hp less then the test pipe.

Gerard,

I would say Random Technologies is the best. I'm running the UR cat right now and I'm happy

Al,
Told me that the UR is fine... not worth the extra 100 bucks for random tech.. the flow car. are about the same... so I think i'm going with the UR high flow...
Thanks

I just did a back to back UR to straight pipe test this past weekend, he picked up a good 10WHP accross the board, and better spool. He is getting a Random now and we will do some back to back with all three next month. I have done earlier testing with the Random, stock cat, and test pipe, and a different 3" high flow cat.
Funny thing, even with a straight pipe his exhaust was not that loud, but it did make good power.
IMO the Random is the best flowing CAT hands down. I have done several posts about this, with dyno graphs and cat core pics, etc. Search under cat testing.

Actually the best cat is made by APEXi. It's only sold in Japan. It's a high flow cat that emits almost the same amount of smog as the stock cat and sometimes even LESS than the stock cat. But I don't think any of us would want to spend $600+ on a cat.
