Having some tranny problems...

Well i have around 1800 miles on my car and I began to hear this grinding noise and i felt something griend whenever i shifted to 1st gear (with the clutch still pressed) when i was slowing down to a stop...one of my friends told me that it mite be cuz one of the synchro rings is broken (whatever that is..)

I don't race nor abuse my car so anyone know what might've caused it? how costly would it be to fix it anyway?

ducati,

Don't jump to conclusions.

Two,

How slow were you going when you tried to put in first?

The evo doesn't seem to really like going into first without rev-matching at anything but the slowest speeds. If I forget and try and put the car into gear before I come to a _complete_ stop i can feel the syncros meshing up.

I agree with Sin, take it and have them look at it.
