Here is another company I found making an R35 coil kit for the evo. They are definitely on the pricier side though.

https://platinumracingproductsusa.co...-evo9-coil-kit

they have some dwell settings published as well

I didn't think they were available anymore. I wish I would have had this opportunity five years ago. Let me think about it over the weekend.

I am personally a big fan of the R35 coils, they work great on all sort of engines. I run the VE R35 coils on my VR4 galant with their mounting plate/harness https://brewedmotorsports.com/produc...-igntion-coil/

I have also tuned a lot of other engines (RB, JZ, K series) all using the R35 coils and they are great. Never a spark issue with a fresh set of R35 coils! (Methanol builds with over 40psi i would always recommend the AEM/Haltech/milspecwiring "smart coils".)

Hi all. Having read this topic about coils from GTR 35 and above, I saw that you can use 22448 ja10c coils. I bought one such kashutka for the test, made a wire for her, but she wants to sue, as I didn’t try. Even if you try to drink it from the battery, the claim sometimes appears, but very weak. It turns out that the 22448 ja10c coils do not work on the evo

I want to add that I use an evo 6 ECU, I have an evo 4. In the ECU settings, I did not change the dwell time, because for denso coils it is almost the same as for the above coils

your translation may be causing some confusion in this one mate looks like the work of Google.

The r35 (or any coil with a built in ignitor) can be used in the EVO and triggered in either direct fire (aftermarket ecu) or batch fire (oem style ecu).
either way works well with a good set of coils and proper wiring. There are a ton of coils that all work good just a matter of getting good coils and doing the install correctly based in what your using.

You are absolutely right, I am from Russia, so I use google translate. I am using skyline 36 body coils and I can't get them to work. When simulating a signal from a battery, there is a spark, but it is so weak that it is almost invisible. I also measured the resistance between + and - of the coil and I got almost 2 MOm, maybe this is the reason. Maybe the point is that I have an evo 4 with an ecu evo 6. at the same time, denso coils with a lexus gs350 work without problems, apparently they will have to stay on.

I also forgot to ask if you are using hitachi or nanshin coils. maybe the problem is that I have nanshin coils.I also like the reels with the Audi R8, red NGK. But you can't run them on the EVO.

$58 a coil

I think I'll try them out, just ordered a set.
Are those Hitachi coils from Rockauto legit or some Fake coils? The reason why I am asking because price looks too good to be truth. I called Nissan dealer today and they want 160$ per coil and rockauto have them for 56$
Also Jd customs have those coils for 93$ each.

We've been selling them for almost 2 years now, and we've had some great feedback. MAP is also a dealer for these kits for us. If you have any questions let me know!

Might be a stupid question but any idea if those Hitachi coils from Rockauto are real or Fake? The price seems to good to be truth. 58$ per coil.

Yea the dealership charges a premium. They either bought it directly from Hitachi or the manufacturer in Taiwan or China to get those lower prices. Hitachi parts have an authenticity seal. I bought set of Hitachi Coils from RockAuto and they were fine.

How do you recognize if its real or fake? I am about to order those Hitachi but I want to be sure that I am ordering Real one's. I found them in Japan and they can be shipped here but it will take 4 weeks to get them here. I am wondering about those from Rockauto. Thanks!!

We purchase our Hitachi coils from a Hitachi distributor, but I've never received anything that wasn't authentic from Rock Auto.

Thank's a lot! Any idea how to check them if they are authentic? Will they look different? I am ordering wiring from you guys and I am making plate myself, I just need coils and wondering if it's good idea to use Rockauto. Thanks a lot!!!
