So these are the wastegate parameters I found through ECU flash

Yup as I suspected and many others. The wastegate duty cycle should be 100 percent up until the turbo starts to really spool, so basically should be 100 to about 4500rpm and start to taper off a bit as boost comes on. Not sure how much of a difference it will make but it will make a difference, send me a message I can tweak it for you if you send the map.

I will also post mine once my evo tuning laptop charges, although I have the 62mm and I’m running less boost it will give you an idea of what I am talking about.

Here is my duty cycle table to give everyone else an idea, this is controlling a dual port internal wastegate actuator on my twin scroll mhi housing AGT 62mm

He is a well known tuner out here on the island could there be a reason why he set up the table like that? I know once it crosses over 5k boost starts to come on fast. If I adjust my WGDC I'll most likely have to adjust my fuel and timing correct?

Some “well known” tuners have been known to not have a good grasp on tuning. I have had to redo many tunes for other people tuned by “reputable” tuners. Not saying he’s a bad tuner as one can’t judge a tuner by wastegate duty cycle tables alone but kind of does tell a story. Im just saying just because a tuner is well known doesn’t mean he knows what he’s doing or is the best at what he does.

Now in regards to a reason it might be done this way, sometimes when tuners know you have a stock bottom end and need to limit tq they will intentionally set up wastegate duty cycle this way. And other times tuning smaller turbos you don’t have to work as hard to get them to spool fast so even if you put 0 duty cycle early on they still spool fast.

And making the changes I’m suggesting may actually not make any difference but my bet from my 10+ years of tuning cars not just Evos is that it most likely will pick up a few hundred rpm of spool(my 62mm picked up like 600rpm of spool once I set up the duty cycle to what you saw in the picture I posted). You might have to make adjustments to the fuel mapping but again, if you want help just send me a message and we will see if it makes a difference or not.

Ok thanks. Maybe your right about the torque statement. I bought the car "built" but at the end of the day who knows what the guy actually put in it. Right now the car is making enough that I really hope it's not a stock bottom end lol. When I get to my laptop later I'll send the rom over

That tune is not causing turbo lag. Wgdc is 100% below 180 load, and the Wgdc tables look fine. It's a laggy turbo.
