mbc still not holding boost

It goes from 20 back to 17. This is wiht an ams boost controller. Their great customer service , they said they will send me another spring to try out. My turnbo nipple is there and tight, all my hoses are in place. Can anyone think of anything else? I did tee from the bov and also the other side goes to the wastegate,

Follow the vacuum hose diagram under the hood and triple check all lines that receive boost. You could have had a leak before the install, but you probably wouldnt have seen it because of the boost taper. Like you said, it could be a faulty mbc. Hope I helped.

i think you should hook between wastegate and turbo housing, but oh well.

Agreed, despite the big debate onthis issue.

I'd also seriously consider the possibility of a boost leak. It might be helpful to pressure test your intake tract.

I am sure the heavier spring we sent you will clear it up. At the Evo meet we held here with AL we have several customers say the same thing. once we gave them all the heavier spring the boost held to 20 till redline.

hopefully it will be the spring. Cause babyburner and I installed it on both of our cars. Mine holds 20psi to redline and his was tapering off.

eric is right.. i had the same issue, and got the other spring they have.. plus i put in the stiffest spring in my forge bov.. (the red one).. now the boost spikes very quick and then settles and holds right at the boost level i want!
