actaully...this is funny because my friend at MMSA told me their warranty dept is starting to secretly watch tracks and inspect more for mods because of someone named Wayne that is causing a lot of problems for them.....

I just now realized that this Wayne person...................IS YOU!!!!!! I'm not joking either. He really said it was someone named Wayne. I guess you're famous at MMSA now.

You wish Wayne, stop playing big money and get that company working again, then MAYBE you can get a enzo Learn the stock market too.

I can't blame Mitsu for not repairing your engine again. I would'nt either. That is the risk we take with modding our cars and racing. We all complain about Mitsu going bankrupt and such, but we are part of the problem, not the solution. When we mod our cars, we are basically taking the risk of losing the warranty. If we race, we guarantee that we are giving up our rights under the warranty.

By the looks of the other vehicles you drive, repairing your engine to make it better than before will hardly be a drain on your pocketbook

Good luck,

CPT EVO from Iraq

Please check out this thread I started. I know it won't outright cure anything if the owners EVOM put this in place, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

Thanks

Sounds like they did a great job on your second engine, NOT.

my codriver a Porsche mechanic/driver for years and he said if they didn't flush out the oil pump......the contamination would reflow thru the system....geez the second motor only had 700 miles on it and for those guys that had mentioned about break in.....first the clutch was a snap ring failure......it actuall think it was around 750 miles to 1000 miles...i broke in the car the correct way everytime...600 miles each time....anyways...they sent the head out when they rebuilt the motor and got it checked and cleaned up....they blamed the silicone from the oil pan clogging the oil return for the first failure....and i'm almost positive they didn't flush out the oil cooler...but it was a short block replacement...and they did send the head out to be checked....dealer don't know much...they are pretty much part replacers....when the original motor went....there was a knocking....they couldn't figure out what was wrong...so they first replaced the crank bearings...didn't fix....they they pulled the head off of the car and #1 cylinder spark plug head was blow completly blown off(thats the first thing the should have pulled is the spark plugs)...so they sent the head out to be checked.....they put the head back on...still knocking....then they did the short block....after replacing those 2 things.....i know this for sure because i stopped by the dealer every day..sometimes twice a day checking...because i wasn't working at the time....anyways...anybody have any suggestions on what i should do now....i could sue them...but it cost money...what will i get....i'm not sure what it will cost...$2K...3K....i could probably get it all fixed for that....suggestions any????

Captain EVO, there is no stipulation about racing/mods in the warranty booklet. Look to this thread also:

I think you should leave your car stock for 6 months then do 1 mod at a time.

I think you should call Darkhorse up and buy a top to bottom engine rebuild. It will cost money, but it will be worth it.

I'll hold my breathe on this one, tho I can't imagine that you find it a suprise that you aren't getting the warranty work, or the fact that your blowing out clutches on slicks.

Either way, build it right

Race Team

You may want to think about hiring your own race team to start doing the work for you at the track. The way you are driving it my be more cost effective in the long run.
