Hey guys,
I'm very interested in the 3071 setup, here's why: my car is a daily driver that I drag race about once a month (and at some point plan to road race). I run low 12s with my current setup and don't really want to have to install a roll cage in a car that I often have to put my 1 and 6 year olds in. I figure this setup will be good for easy and consistent high 11's, which still might get me kicked off but usually one can bull**** the track folks if it is still close to 12 flat.
On the Vishnu dyno, my stage 1+ made 311whp on race gas (c16) and 275 on 91. That is with the turbo back exhaust, hks 264/272 cams, cam gears, xedeflash, upgraded bov and fuel pump (I have stock intake). If I was to add the 3071 kit and larger injectors, what dyno numbers could I expect to see with this setup and a custom tune by Shiv on his dyno?

Smog, What is up. You reading my mind or my emails/ pms. I guess you are and as you know from them that I believe this kit is the way to go. Low 12s on pump like 12 flat maybe and probably mid 11s-11.7 with mere mortals like me and you driving. Now put Audi/John Force/Big daddy Don Garlitts behind the wheel and maybe 11.3s. I will be happy with low 12s on pump and 11.7 on race gas. But then again I thought low 12s would keep me content. I will PM you I got some interesting track results to share with you. OUT!.

I got the stock turbo to do 360whp...and that was before the water injection.
The ATP GT3071R turbo upgrade is only starting to make power at 375 whp. They only had 660 injectors, 3" exhaust, moddest boost settings, and some tunning. I'm assuming this is on pump gas. If you add cams, FMIC, and other supporting mods it will get you alot more power.
This turbo kit is cheap and spools up 200-300 rpm later than stock. This turbo upgrade kit is definately on the top of my list.

I dont know who will do it yet as I moved to OC, CA recently and I dont really know anyone around here that i can realy trust. My friend from work and I will be installing the turbo kit which not hard at all as I have installed and worked on cars many times. here is what I got with my turbo kit. 750 injectors, 255 W fuel pump and AFC 2. ATP asured me that with this setup I should be around 360 whp on 91 gas. However in few months I will be buying AEM EMC or utech to top everything. Do you guys how much I should trq my injectors??? or if the turbo require special torqing on the manifold?? I have a trq ranch however. I dont know what are the tq specs??? any help will be great??? any instructions on installing afc on EVO??

do a search I think, a lot of instructions on hooking up afc....I think as long as you got the harness you'll have a easy time installing it. Good luck with that kit, I'm curious to see the results as well. =)
