i take your car to Mitsu and have them replace the turbo. try to take out any intake system that they can say you added that caused the turbine to break, so that way you can get the warranty job done to it and that way buy the buschur and still have your stock Turbo.

Shaft play is the movement of the center cartridge within the turbo. To check it, remove the intake pipe and stick your hand in the turbo inlet. You'll feel the wheel and the nut at the center. Grab the nut and wiggle. Some limited up and down movement is fairly normal (we're talking a couple millimeters here). Try and push/pull the shaft in/out of the inlet. You don't want any movement that way.

Wow that stinks. I'll pass on boosting passed 19 psi thank you. How much are the stock big 16g turbos for our cars???? Anyways good luck with the new turbo.

A couple guys down here are on their 2nd turbo from trying to hold boost in the high ranges to redline. Will leave the tuners involved out of this thread but there is some consistency with blown turbos and a tuner or two.
