My GDmax clutch just got taken out. During the syncro install, I checked the clutch lining and found the clutch lining on the first disc (the one near the flywheel) was virtually gone. The clutch had less than 5K miles on it. The second disc, the sandwiched on in the floater disc looked to be almost the same thickness as when new. The clutch was holding up fine still, but that one disc didn't have much life left. The total thickness was 4.5 mm thick, the minimum thickness for replacement is 4.2 mm.
dEdiYT11: How did yours look? Did both your discs wear evenly?
I tried to get the discs, but had no luck, so I put the stock clutch back in for now. My stock clutch came out with about 3k miles on it. It was still in brand new condition.
BTW, the TSB on the transmission worked out great on my car. Shifts like butter with the underhood bushings, shifter bushings, B&M shifter, and stock clutch.
