Well, my oil consumption has seemed to stablize...
Fiinally after nearly 12,000 miles my Evo's oil consumption has finally stabilized. It only consumes about 4 ounces over the course of 3,500 miles. After my first oil change at 500 miles I was using about a full quart over that same time distance. The motor seems to run stronger too but some of that may be because I'm running an honest 19.5psi instead of 18psi. My found my boost gauge to be in error on the high side.
I wondering what other Evo owners are seeing in terms of oil consumption stabilization. How's it looking after 10K miles? Are you having a similar experience?

Dunno. I think mines gotten pretty close to using no oil. It's certainly within any sort of tolerance. It did take a long time to get there. Another thing to note is my oil no longer smells like gasoline.
In theory the rings won't continue to seat with so many miles on the engine. Maybe that's not entirely true in all cases.
