Where is the fuel filter located?

 

In the tank. It's part of the housing assembly the fuel pump attaches to.

 

Someone (Silver Surfer maybe) priced it at around $400 a long time ago. You have to buy the whole assembly as a unit from Mitsubishi. The only good thing was it had a long service interval. The subject was dropped at the time with a, we will cross that bridge when we get there, attitude.

 

Yeh, that's kinda crazy. Hopefully there will be some aftermarket options for filter only without the pump, etc. I haven't come across a part number for it without the pump, so if anyone does please post.
