Can it be the leveler (of the installation of it) on your walbro fuel pump?

Well, a little bit more info: needle at the bottom of the gauge, my fuel light came on with around 180 miles since last fill up. So with the power of logic on my side, I drove it another 40 miles with the light on. Sure enough, at ~220 miles, I filled up with the usual 12.1 or so gallons. I could have gone to 250 but at least it proves that no matter what the gauge reads, the car is behaving the same. Funny how hard it is to ignore the light though.

I'll try some stuff out this weekend and post the results. Hopefully it's not something as obscure as an air sensor screwing with it though..

i park on a ramp and i constantly get lower than actual fuel levels (if i'm looking up an incline) and if i'm looking down an incline i get higher than actual.

Had the same problem with mine new. replaced the sender.
