ecu reflashing ?
It seems that if you want mild performance gains without much tinkering a ecu reflash is the way to go. does anybody have a handle on which company provides the safest and best reflash. dynoflash is the cheapest at $200 , then vishnu xflash at $400 and then the works brain flash at $500-700 depending on options. all are claiming similar results : 20-40 whp increase with better drivability and gas mileage. which is the best ?

believe me if they want they can pull the ecu and have it tested.. its not very hard.. they have every right to do so if you report a problem... All they have to do is compair the fuel maps to the original .... No a scan tool won't do it but who uses a scan tool to solve warranty work, they just use that to diagnose problems

I believe works offers free reflashing back to stock. My question is say you get it flashed have a problem, send the PCM back and get it flashed to stock and then bring it in for work. Is there any way they can check the PCM to see if it has been flashed previously. I know its not honest but it's a "hypothetical" question.
