I dont know about you guys but oil pressure and fuel pressure are most important to me besides boost. Those liquids need to be at proper operating pressure or that car will take a s**t. Egt is nice but a wideband would be first choice and there are many reasonable priced ones out there if you didnt want to go with the Uego.

Narrow band is good for nothing unless you want a light show.

I'd say oil temp because that way you'll know when it's ok to start driving the car hard.

EGT is #2 choice.

Wideband is accurate over a wide A/F ratio range. Narrowband is only accurate near stoich.

Oil Pressure: The 454 in my Camaro leaked all the oil out once and wore all the lobes off the cam, the only good thing about this was that I replaced it with a 502 BBC

Wideband all the way, egt is good for tuning to determine if your timing is to aggressive or mild etc. I would NOT use an egt gauge for just a/f thats a joke. Its way to slow to respond to determine a/f's. You wont need one if you dont know what it does because most likey you will not be using a standalone etc. Plus dont get an autometer biggest POS probe on the egt. Widebands can be had for as little as $325 nowadays. Best gauge you will ever invest in

i couldnt decide so i got most of them! in no particular order.

oil pressure... for oil leaks... happened many times (stupid brass fittings)
water temp...so you see if your car is overheating or up to operationg temp or if theres no coolant.
oil temp.... so you know your engine is up to operating temp.. very different to water temp... takes about 10-15 min to get your oil temp up. as opposed to water temp which takes only about 5 mins.
volts... pretty usless guage...better off with a digital one thats hooked up all the time.
air/fuel ratio i find it useless... too many flashing lights....maybe my sensor is stuffed!
boost/vac....useful!
EGT....havent hooked it up yet... wanna make a new manifold first... i heard that by the time is reads (too hot) on the guage... its too late for the engine!

Thanks guys, for now I got a two pod gauge holder and I went with the Boost and EGT, but adding a third gauge is always possible so we'll see.... thanks
