DSM Diverter valve best mod yet!
To start....IF YOU DON"T THINK YOU NEED THIS, YOU'RE PROBABLY WRONG!!
I didn't think I needed a new DV. I did some upgrades and thought the car was great. I added a boost gauge and thought that I might be leaking some boost from what I was seeing.
So I purchased the DSM diverter valve from Gruppe-S. It finally came in and I ran outside to install it. It took about 10 minutes. No messing with springs, test runs or changes to hoses. I loosened the clamps, pulled out the plastic crap and popped in the new one.
I didn't get to drive it until later in the say and all I can say HOLY CRAPOLA!! This is a very noticeable difference. Boost doesn't drop off and there is a very mildy noticeable sounds of hissing but it is still respectable.
THIS IS THE BEST $120 I HAVE SPENT ON THIS CAR YET!!
BUY A NEW DIVERTER, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

I'm shocked no one has done a pressure test on the MR valve....I mean, sure it holds stock boost (19-20 psi) fine.....but a lot of people are running more boost. I would like to see a definite answer as to how much boost it'll handle b4 getting one myself.

Hah... I was a big supporter of the stock DV too. I had been running 21 PSI and noticed my boost drop to around 20 PSI which I simply disregarded as due to weather.
Well, I tried to turn up my boost 1-1.5 lbs yesterday and it didn't want to hold any more boost and was marginally eratic trying to pin down any more boost.
Needless to say, I'm having a Turbosmart dual port installed on Saturday.

This is the MR diverter valve that Gruppe-S is selling for $120. I run adjusted boost between 20.5 and 23. Haven't had any prolems yet but it has only been installed for three days.
