CAMSHAFTS/CAM GEARS 272in/272ex
is camshafts and cam gears worth it?? i know its good for high end but is it also good for low end??
i am mostly a track person and canyon person and i would like to improve my torque..i am just curious if a 272/272 cams and gear setup will change my low end power performance and not just my high end..
thanks

Doing cams without cam gears will not hurt anything, except your power output and idle mainly. Using cam gears can clean up the idle to near or as good as stock with cams, as well as regain the low end torque lost by cams without sacrificing the top end you gained by adding the cams. This is disgussed within that thread. I know the thread is long, lots of pages, and a lot of reading. But that is how you will learn about these things, so take the time, have some patience, and read through the information.
