I just got my Buschur upper intercooler pipe kit, with the g1 diverter valve. The question is the stock tubing from the stock pipe to the diverter valve to the intake does not look like it will reach on the Bischur setup. What kind of tubing do I need and where can I pick some up? I plan on putting it on this weekend, and would like to just grab the tubing to run from the DV to the air intake. Is this just radiator tubing? All that came with the kit was the two pieces of tubes, the g1 DV, and a few clamps. Is there anything else I need? Vacuum hose?

I just have the buschur upper intercooler kit. I currently am running the K&N typhoon with a forge DV. That used the stock tube from the intercooler pipe to the DV, and then from teh DV to the air intake pipe. The buschur kit places the DV right on the intercooler pipe almost next to where the air filter is. So I need to run some type of tubing from there to the intake pipe. What kind of tubing can I use?

Let me know what happens. I ordered the kit and have the exact same set up as you. I forwarded Jarrod a picture of the DV and told him it goes in the same place the stock DV was. I will not know if that makes a difference or not.

 

You said you are running the K&N Typhoon system correct? Is the stock Intake pipe still in tact and you just have the filter or how does that intake work?

How does the K&N intake work tho? Is it just a filter or does it replace the pipe as well?

 

The Typhoon intake replaces the stock inlet pipe with its own. It also has a CF heat shield that fits behind the filter to help keep out heat. That shouldnt affect the IC pipe though. I wish I could see a picture of an engine bay with your Upper IC pipe then I can tell you exactly what might be the problem. Shhheesh, exactly what might be.... lets make that a good guess!

 

do you need a pic of an evo with the upper ic pipe on it & stock intake pipe as reference? i can run out real quick & post one. jarrod just sold me one over the weekend & we threw it on at the campground. (jarrod, thanks again for helpin get rid of the gauge pod)
