Sam's(gofast87) EVO 8 build-up

We are currently building an EVO 8 for gofast87 on this board. The car is going to be an absolute monster once we get it fully tuned. Here is a short list of what we have done so far. He brought the car to us to put a few bolt-ons on and tune the car. Sam ended up going all out on the project and we are happy he did. The car is going to be a blast to drive.

RnR GT35R Kit w/equal length manifold
Big FMIC
AEM EMS
RnR 3" Turbo Back
RnR IC short routed IC piping, Tial BOV
RnR Cold Air Intake w/filter
1000cc injectors, walbro 255, Aeromotive regulator
272's, ARP studs
Eagle Rods, JE Pistons
Magnus Sheet Metal Intake

Stock throttle body, No head work, stock springs and retainers, stock ignition.

We are going to do a 2.4 motor and a stage 3 head later on. We will also add the Tomei springs and retainers at that time.

We plan on running as much boost as the stock ignition system will let us. Probably around 30psi. With the motor that is in the car it can handle an easy 35psi, but I don't think the rest of the system will let us at this time. We will be building 2 maps. One on the 100 octane/25psi and a C-16/30+psi map.

I will posting up some pics of it later today.

Sounds fun..... though I just can't believe you aren't upgrading the springs and retainers to get more rpm out of it, everything else is there.

We are waiting to do the springs and retainers until we build the head. Actually one of the other EVO's we built that ran 10.6 had the stock springs and retainers. He was reving to 8500rpm, but that is not something we recommend.

Is this a street car? How about a pump gas map, or is the 100 octane a full time pump gas for this car?

This is a daily driver. The owner doesn't want to put anything lower than a 100 octane in the car. He has a gas station with a 100 octane at the pump.

How you like the $6000 Rotora brakes? I guess there was a very limited amount released in the states.
