Before I cut the vac line for the boost gauge

The how to for the boost gauge install isn't showing the pictures so I want to make sure I'm tapping the vacuum line at the correct spot. Is this line with the wire loom coming off the fpr where to tap? TIA...

The one coming directly off the fuel pressure regulator wrapped in your photo with the plastic loom is the one I used. It has worked since February without a problem, and reads 19.5 psi peak, 16 psi redline.

I thought the fpr was the most constant place.

What line are you talking about over the manifold cover? Do you have a pics? Why not the fpr line? Thanks a ton...

If you ever drive aggressive your boost will sometimes read zero, when the FPR does it's stuff . Use the one from the mainfold on the other side

Maybe with a faulty install, but I have a Walbro, MBC, intake, exhaust, Turbotrix flash, etc, etc, etc. and I have never seen anything but 21 psi on the boost gauge. I think some of you had bad installs or something. In fact, all the EVOs I have seen in person with a boost gauge have it hooked up to the FPR. Never heard a complaint. Is this going to be like the MBC install controversy?

I used the shorter hose with the loom that's in the pic. No problems after over a year.

That is where I decided to relocate it to. Seems to run perfect for almost a year and have not have the problem since.

I installed my Defi boost gauge according to the directions and it said to tee it between the manifold and the FPR solenoid. That is the short hose (4" or so). I tapped it there and no problems. I've heard others say they get inaccurate readings if they tap after the FPR solenoid due to the fluctuations.
