just wanna know what you guys think of the ogura twin plate clutch. Everyone seems to be buying HKS or exedy twin plate. How does ogura rank? Heard its #1 in japan. My friend is an authorized dealer, he said its better than hks & exedy.

Great clutch it deserves more attention. Better design I feel. ORC also has come out with 2 new carbon clutches for the EVO also. They run very close to the Exedy in prices.

Ogura and ATS are probably the high end of race clutches. Both are used throughout JGTC and have a proven trackrecord. Be prepared to pay one, to two times the cost of an Exedy or HKS..

My friend is an authorized sole distributor here. He said he can give it to me for about the same price or less of an HKS twin plate. I told him i gotta ask you guys first at the forum if this is a good clutch. Sounds like he's right!.....high end clutch. I was afraid to try this coz i've never heard anyone using this before on an evo. Mostly using HKS or exedy.
For you guys w/ twin plate clutches.......is this way too hard when you step on it compared w/ stock clutch? does all twin plates have that "sound" like somethings grinding or something?

The problem would be you guys are thousands of miles away...........the shipping cost would be alot, plus tax. Not only OGURA, i can get hks, denso iridium plugs, tanabe coilovers, exhaust, WORKS rims, etc. I dont know if they would tax it once it gets there. Anyone tried UPS? for international cargo? or others?

Hey guys I need some advice. Which clutch can give me performance without that grinding noise? Is there one around the world? $$ is not a problem, that grinding noise is.

I have the Ogura twin disc and broke it. Seems like the pressure plate has failed. Car still moves, but clutch grabs weird. I'm gonna look at it when I have some time.

The thing did hold up well when it was good. It does make the crazy grinding sounds when U have the pedal down, in neutral. It's something you're gonna have to get used to.

To the guy that said he has hookups on Ogura. Please email me. I may need parts for this thing.

I am using the Ogura now.. the pedal feel was really hard initially, but the mechanic made some adjustments and now it feels like stock.

Great bite though.

And yes, the rattling sound does sound really grating. Solution: get louder exhaust
