Question Resonated Test Pipes

Hey All,

My Greddy Ti exhaust has been getting alittle loud for me due to the addition of a test pipe. I was thinking to replace the standard test pipe with a resonated one. Do you know of anyone that sells a resonated test pipe for the evos (I've heard RNR make one buts its not on their site)? Also do you think that it would decrease some of the noise?

I would say to get a high flow cat or try going to a muffler shop and see if you can buy a small resonator and get it welded up with.

The resonated test pipes on Ebay are Megan Racing's "high flow cats" *cough* test pipes *cough*

I had one specially made for my Galant VR-4 back in the day. What you do is buy a bullet style racing muffler and weld the appropriate flange on each end instead of a flang on one end and nice shinny tip on the other It helps out quite a bit with the noise level, about half way between a normal test pipe and a high flow cat for noise level.

...but that one doesn't tuck into the "tunnel" like the OE round one... Not knocking it, but I'd like a round one... CarSound/Magnaflow has an OE'ish style cat... one can only come to the conclusion that it is more expensive, and that is the reason they are not more widely used.

Who sells an OE round type direct fit converter for our cars? The only round high flow cats I've seen are the helix and random tech units, which look more like resonators.

Hold on, I said OE type, not direct fit! I'm talking about something like these (bad example):http://www.car-sound.com/universal/530.htm
They had longer ones, but it's late and I'm too tired to look for them.
