Question about Evo hood vent

Looks like water is going to get in when you are at a traffic jam and it's rainning.
Will it hurt the engine then?

how about with an aftermarket turbo ? do you still keep the heatshield on if possible? or how about if water (even if is a minimal of it ) hits the after market snail , will it cost any problems ??

i own an evo. water on the engine is fine. the headers come rusted from the factory... i got my car with 2 miles on it
