Help - car won't start.

I just installed a walbro 255 fuel pump and now the car won't start. I followed the directions on evomoto site. the 1st time i tried it, the car fired for 2 seconds then died. now the car just cranks and cranks without firing. cranked so much it smells like a bbq in the engine. put back in the stock pump, still won't start. put back in the walbro, removed the ecu to reset it. same thing. help please.

I would begin by ruling problems out. First, make sure the fuel pump is running. If you take the back seat off and turn the key to the on position, you should be able to hear the fuel pump running. If you don't, then the problem is electrical. If you do hear it running, then it could be that your supply line is loose or the pump isn't seated properly in the housing. However, if your supply line were loose, you would have noticed fuel all over the top of the fuel tank. Also, make sure that you used the proper gasket where the fuel pump connects to the housing. Hope this helps.

Fuel pump is running. I can hear it. plus, I pulled it out and turned on the car - shot fuel everywhere. Everytime I disconnected the pressure line, fuel shot out. So, it is pumping fuel into the line.

Flooded. Put stock pump back in, floor gas pedal & crank it till it starts.
