hello guys

are there any advantages with running a 4 inch intake over a 3 inch one with a bigger turbo?

Usually what you do is, run an intake of 4" with the new turbos that are 100mm.

or a 3" with the standard 80mm ones.

Funny you should ask

We just got our tubing order in and will be installing a new 4" mas pipe on the red EVO. I truly believe the 3" and smaller inlets are causing some problems on the 4" inlet turbos. I should know this afternoon.

Ya there is a company in Portland OR that i got mine from. Custom made 4" and you can get it powder coated any color you want for free. It was like $90 shipped to my door.

$90 is dirt *** cheap. Not sure what it looks like or what it is made of but I am telling you that is very cheap. The 4" aluminum bends we got in cost us just over $100 EACH. Now we have to cut, polish and weld them and offer an air filter kit for it. The bends are rediculously expensive.

Hey david i sent you a PM about some products im looking into from you and would like to know some more info about them!

Anyway about the pipe the link is www.dejontool.com and under the Evo 8 Catalog. They advertise the 3" intake pipe with or without MAF but when i called them to get mine i just ask for the 4" and they gave it to me at no extra charge. Pricing on them are as follows.

Just give them a call and they will hook you up. THe pipe iteself is perfect and comes with all clamps and fittings. THe only thing i dont really like is i got the silver powder coat and it is not the best powder coat job. But what do you expect for the price i guess.
