Martin would have to confirm this but if I remember correctly I think I heard him say that we put our FMIC onto a stock turbo Evo and it picked up something in the range of 20 hp over the stock one.

The trick is when you have long pulls, or back to back runs where it would be most noticable.

I completely agree w/ MalibuJack its not a required upgrade but an upgraded IC will help. I just wish for 1 moment people who are modding their cars would stop worrying about #'s on the dyno, and spend some time thinking about how efficiant their set up is. If more time was spent in that train of thought the dyno #'s and ET's will follow w/ a better result. Everything on the EVO is designed to work perfectly w/ everything else as long as its all left stock including the amount of boost. The reason the stock turbo's boost is brought down as you get closer to red line is to keep it in a higher efficiancy range. Once you change that boost to say 20 psi @ redline you are also changing where in the turbos efficiancy range you are. Its going to be lower which means there is also more heat, more heat means less ign timing: end result= less gain with higher boost on the stock turbo, stock IC. I guess I worry more about having an perfectly tuned machine instead of a dyno queen (no offense to anyone). Oh last thing you can't really compare what a car does on the dyno with what its going to do on the street scince the load is different. Even if it has an adjustable load setting its still not exactly the same.
