^^ That's not good, mines going badly now at 28k, just got my ACT street clutch (and am hoping that my Fidanza flywheel gets here in time) for an install on saturday.

I'm convinced it was my abuse that sent the clutch out.

When I had my 99 Eclipse GSX, I probably launched hard at least 5 times per month. Man that was great at the stop lights! Went through 3 clutches in 3 years!

ACT seems to be the best bang for the buck....

almost 50 on my and still feels like new. I think if you drive the car and launch it abusively then you shouldnt be suprised when you burn your clutch..

43K miles, 310whp, stock clutch. Just starting to slip in 4th gear, but only after I've done a dozen track days.

Close to 50k now. Several times down the drag strip. Definately in excess of 350 WHP. Still stock clutch, holding fine.

31,000 miles and still on stock clutch. Clutch holds like it's new. This is my first manual transmission car also.

A slipping clutch isn't as bad as you guys make it out to be. On my Camry (V6, simple bolt-ons), the clutch slipped. Started in 5th gear. THen 4th gear. Then 3rd gear. At the time, I couldn't afford a new one. I drove it like that for a year. Now, there was almost NO material left when I had it replaced (at 133,000 miles). You guys COULD get by on a slipping clutch. But I understand why you don't WANT to.

BTW, 1700 miles on my MR and no problems. I seriously can't fathom how someone could go through their clutch in 2 or 3k miles. AWD burnouts, perhaps?
