"Optimal" Fluid Combo !?!

My head is killing me from all the posts I've read using our beloved (pos) search function, but he's what I've boiled the info down to "Optimal" being the key word here; not prefferential, recommended, etc.:

1) Transaxel Fluid - GL4, 3qts., 75w90 (MT 90 Penz Syncromesh)

2) Transfer Case - GL5, 0.58qts., 75w90 (RedLine 75w90 NS) no LSD frict. addtv.

3) Rear Differential - GL5, 0.58qts., 75w90 (AMSoil Series 2000 75w90) LSD gear
oil with friction additive

Transmission - Penzoil Synchromesh -AutoZone carries it

Transfer Case.. Go with Redline Heavy Shockproof gear oil (Warmer Climate) Light Shockproof (Colder climate)

Rear Diff (Amsoil is good but even easier to find is Mobil 1 75w90 Works JUST as well.. Good stuff)

These are Optimal Fluid Combos. Everyone has their own combo.. But from adoing a LOT of research and calling a lot of tuners. This has been what I found is best ..

Trans: MT-90
F/R Diffs: Royal Purple SAE90

I would not put a mix weight in the diffs. The 75W will be too thin. Don't risk it.

Tranny - 70-30 mixture Redline MT90 and Penzoil Synchromesh

Transaxle - Shock proof is good

Diff - Don't know enough about but a LSD has little clutches inside it and I would think full synthetic would be too slick and thus not allow LSD to work optimally. Clutches will slip too easily and would cause premature wear. Just my uneducated theory. Don't take it for fact...

The Diaqueen has a friction additive, and is it necessary for the center "open" diff? I was thinking about RL in the center diff - shockproof...

Amyone?

Tranny and transaxle are the same thing.

There are different kinds of diffs. I don't think the stock diff has clutches. I think as the fluid heats and thickens, it creates the diff action. Aftermarket diffs have clutches in them because they can handle more power.

Why would you want a 70/30 mix? We are talking 3 quarts of fluid. Are you sure that 72/28 mix wouldn't be better?

I vote for:
1) Tranny - BG SynchroShift I (not II)
2) Transfer Case - Redline Shockproof Heavy
3) Rear Differential - Redline 75W90 Gear Oil

Do the tranfer case and rear lsd oils mix with one another? If so, should we not use the same oil for each (implying one that has a friction additive as required for the lsd)???

Anyone...

It's $60 for 4 liters. I hardly used any of it to do the center and rear, but i sold the rest of the container to another 2 local Evo members at $20 each and recuped most of it. You can do at least 3 cars with the TC and rear. So it cost me $20 for genuine OEM fluid and did it myself.
