Insurance rates evo vs 350

hey guys , i was just wondering how much more it would be to insure a 350z over an evo. I assume a 350z would be more since it is classified as a sports car seeing as it it only seats two. I don't know much about insurance rates, but would it be significantly steeper to insure a 350 rather than an evo? I live in MA and i did a search for insurance rates on evo's and one guy said he was paying a little over 100/month with a clean record.

How did you mangage swindling the insurance company?

The average 3g eclipse GT owner pays 2 grand a year. I'm guessing it should be more like those having 3KGT VR4, not the NA/SL versions.

Don't know about the Z, but I'm paying 25% more for the EVO, than what I paid for my S2000.

I used to have a Z, and my insurance rate was slightly lower than my Evo. My old rate was $1500 a year, and my Evo is $1616 a year. I thought it was a little strange, but it is what it is. Allstate is my insurance provider.

By minimizing the liability of the insurance carrier. For the methods I used to get cheap rates, refer to this thread:

The insurance is more on my Evo than my 2002 Z06. My insurance agent says that it has to do with rate of claims (theft, collision repair, etc).

The ins. co. may not know what an EVO is. A long time ago, I had a 1992 BMW 325ic. I traded it in on a 1995 E36 M3, and my insurance rate went DOWN.

I had a 350Z, and it was acutally pretty cheap to insure. But I am middle aged with a perfect driving record (not anymore).
