its good to hear at least I'm getting close to what other people have..i guess the 18/26 numbers are very conservative driving..guess i should be happy with what i'm getting..before i put the mbc in I was only boosting 16 psi at all times for some reason..so i guess raising it to 20 psi must have made that difference from 240/tank to 200/tank..sucks tho gas is so f-ing expensive around here..(sorry to all the cali people too damn lol)

After I got tuned I went from 14-16 mpg to 19-20 city driving. I also noticed that I get much better milage from Shell VPower.

You increase the boost, you increase the amount of air entering the engine. The ECU senses this and adds more fuel to maintain the factory programmed AF ratios. This means worse fuel mileage if the car is pumping more fuel to match the increase in air.

A tune will help you lean the car out to a more powerful but still safe level so that the amount of fuel pumping into the engine is decreased. You will see an increase in mileage and power with a tune.

Since you guys are talking about fuel, does using 89 makes your "Engine Service" light comes on? I think my dealer gave me 89 as the first tank, now I'm plagued by that "Engine Service" light forever.

Am I the only one who can consistently get 28mpg on the highway (on 93 octane)?

Ya if the ECU is seeing allot of knock i would think it would throw a CEL specially if it was retarding the timing and dumping more fuel in to stop the knock and it was still happening. Just try resetting the ECU and see how that goes for you.

Thanks, here I thought that its something else causing the light to come on. When I went to the dealer, the service manager kept telling me its my Turbo Timer thats screwing with the computer setting.

Just lets you know that what kind of "knowledgeable" staff is working on my Ebo

The best I've ever gotten was on a 950 mile road trip. My best tank during that trip was just under 26 mpg. My average for the whole trip was 24 mpg.

do you have a boost gauge? if so how much are you boosting max? i know before i got an mbc i was only boosting 16 psi that is why i was getting better gas mileage..make sure if ur stock ur getting 19 psi and tapering to 16 psi by redline..if u are boosting that much then that rocks taht somehow ur getting such good gas mileage..i wish i could get that lol
