i didn't read the whole thread cause Im in a rush, but I think I can help. You live in MA where there is a law that says you have 3 business days to return an automobile after purchase if you find the vehicle not what was represented. so do some research and get a lawer if needed but down just roll over and take it.

Let me tell you something from an attorney stand point.
When you purchased the car from the dealership, you most likely purchased it "as is", right?
Well when you buy the car "as is" and sign the very last line on the very last page, the dealer is no longer responsible/liable for the car.
Seeing some of the threads about "smelling a lawsuit," I WOULDN'T take any of there advice. You have no lawsuit. You would waste a lot of your money just filing in court fees, attorney fees, ect...
However, I do have good news. Depending on your state laws with returning the car, you might want to check them out. Each state has different laws in returning your car. If is has been more than three (3) days, most likely not. But that doesn't mean that they won't.
Good luck!!

ebay has numerous buyer protection programs
check them out. I purchased a "nice and clean" set of rims that came with 5 LARGE dents..
I got my money back through paypal and some more through ebay. (i got to keep the rims too, two were able to be sold)
Agian, paypal and many other money services will help you, also you can file for internet fraud, and even with the police to help get your money back or send the seller to jail (revenge is good).
Instead of coming here, you should spend your time talking with ebay, via internet and phone and with the company you sent the money through...good luck

well guess what now it doesn't!!!!

I hope you don't try to bargain on price etc, and shoot yourself in the foot.

YOu have a good case for refund . This car was abused, moded, has no warranty.

Demand a full and immediate refund - don't get stuck with car if you can help it. There are others.

One question though: Did you get the car inspected before you purchased it?

OK i bought my 03 evo off ebay, " smail automotive" in greensburg, PA
had it advertised, for "buy it now" for $23,500 well i bought it

actually my cousin has an ebay account and he tecnially bought it for me
i called up and asked about the car, they said it was a one owner trade in
THEY also said they replaced the clutch, plus it had a bem short shifter in it

well the car was flat bedded to my house, and it had what looked like drag
radials on it, plus the motor just sounded rough, i took it for a drive and the
tranny sounded whiney {yea i read the thread on that

i decided to bring it to my local mitsu dealer. THEY looked it over and said
the car was modded big time

75 shot of nitrous and many more mods, they punched in the vin and some how
they found all this out, they said due to the mods that were on the car the warranty is void

so im asking what should i do????
ASK for all my money back from smail automotive??
or tell them ill keep the car and i want back xxxx amount of money back??

i mean what is my car worth?? im going to go about it as /.... this motor can
blow at any moment...... so im going to ask for 5 grand back or have them
take the car back and they can give me my purchase price

guys help .......i know its a long *** post but ill reward you with some option
goodie's//////////// im well known on supra forum's thanks for the space

Does this mean the engine is rebuilt with better piston, rods, head studs, and head gasket to handle NOS.
Does it have aftermarket cams, exhaust, or other parts.

talk to the owner of the dealership you bought it from. tell them you found out that your warranty is voided. then see what they have to say about it. ask for some money back or tell them that you will need to take further action.

dude, you bought a car off ebay never having driven it and you don't even run the vin# through a Mitsu dealer to see if the warranty is still good? not very smart. hope this story has a happy ending, but just the BS you have to deal with from now until then will surely suck *****. I would never buy a car off ebay unless i can get it to a mechanic first.

That what I was thinking. Anybody recognize the car from any meets? The previous owner may no longer be on Evom after selling, but if he is he's probably staying silent. He could have been the one who misled the dealer when he sold it. The dealer knew the car was a 2003 and they saw the odometer was less than 36000. Little did they know that voids warranties like nobody's business.

Just being Devil's advocate. Ignorance is not an excuse. You should have recourse (within 3 days) if dealer advertised a voided warranty. Go get 'em!
