Mitsubishi USA sure is different than Nissan USA. While most Nissan dealers are not modification-friendly, there are at least 2 here in California that are -- Performance Nissan in Durate, CA; and Mossy Nissan in Oceanside, CA.
I have purchased and had installed the following mods on my 350Z at these 2 dealers:
Cams, headers, intake, exhuast, hi-flow cats (invoice says they were put in the trunk, lol), pulleys, lightweight flywheel, rally clutch, clutch-type limited slip differential, coil overs with EDFC, swaybars, and lightweight forged allows with competition tires.
No one told me my warranty was voided on anything. When I burned up the aftermarket clutch on the race track, they gave me a new one. I had the 6-speed gearbox replaced twice on warranty. The second time because I chewed up 3rd gear on the racetrack due to the bad clutch.

i can bet if u take u go wingless on ur EVO, the same dealership will say there's less downforce on the rear causing the transmission to break down and yielding bigger horsepower somehow.

Ok I know I'm late on responding to this but I'm in Jax,FL... and City Mitsubishi is total BS here... they're asking $35K for an '04 Evo and the same for an RS... claiming their limited numbers and also they have some security feature thats worth another grand...all of us Evo owners in Jax went to dealers outside our town to get ours... fair warning never deal with Jax mistu!
