Sorry for the delay. The tip is 4inch in diameter. Not sure if this is the same as the factory (old muffler is in the shed and it's raining outside!)

Again, apologies for the delay.

The rest of my exhaust is off the shelf standard, so it has a 2.5 inch diameter 'inlet'.

I have a MR 3" dp and helix 3" test pipe....I am thinking of getting a muffler shop to make a pipe from the cat to the end with no muffler....Is anyone running this setup- with no cat AND no muffler? how much louder is it? I do not want to be obnoxiously loud....thanks..

I would make sure the shops are mandrel bending the exhaust if you are getting something custom made.

If you're really curious, pull off your stock muffler and drive around. At WOT it will pulsate your bumper cover, so I don't recommend it for 'long term' use.

Just did the same - deleted the muffler with a straight pipe after the bolts - also had the guy weld on the original tip - sounds awesome and feels like the car's gained at least 10 hp (via butt dyno) - also good in low to mid-range response. Be sure to leave on the muffler after the cat and leave the resonator - just get rid of the drum. Heard its about 18 lbs - costs me a total of $30 bucks at my local muffler shop - Nice throaty sound.
