The only thing the MR really has on the Evo is the transmission and for some people they like the dual rev limiter, but works in San Fran can put it on any evo now

 

I just traded my 04 evo in for the MR because of a pretty good deal i got on the trade in...let me tell you i wouldnt go back to a regular evo ever probably, the 6 speed tranny is so much smoother then the 5spd in my 04, the suspension is like riding in a luxury car but with no sacrafice to performance. I like almost every aspect of the MR over the regular evo...IMO...but thats just my .02

keep evo, the MR is nice, i should know cuz i got one but to be honest therer asking alot over sticker for them so i would say to u keep ur's and put the money for some mods. Also its not a mojor difference between the two so keep urs.

def not weak, all 05's in my opinion are going to be faster than 03's and 04'S , dyno flash posted something earlier this weak on 05 power and it seems that mitsu did it again, meaning that 03 EVO GSR can match up stock for stock with the STI (even tho the STi has 30hp advantage) , the MR with its 5hp increase wioth be able to take the Suby down with out the interference of a bad driver, like always i could be wrong

 

i chose ssl over MR cause i extra gear is not worth the price. the leather, and moonrof is worth the diff though. Besides, the 05 5spd tranny has the teflon coated shifter cables as well,

 

Everyone that bought an MR thinks it's worth it, everyone that doesn't have an MR doesn't think it's worth it, is this a surprise?

 

I dont think people should use that the shifting feels so much better in the MR over their regular 03-04 EVOs because ALL of the 05 EVOs have the new teflon shifter cables.... so thats not really a good reason!

 

 

It really depends on what you think is worth it or not...
And it sucks for the people that pay over MSRP.. me and many others i know paid over dealer invoice(dealer cost) or under MSRP... This does discourage a lot of people from buying the MR and talk down about it


IMO... if your 03 Evo is perfectly fine than dont get the MR... and trust me theres a lot more difference than just the extra gears... please know more about the car before you talk S.H.I.T. about it... thank you please drive through

 

Well you sound like your in denial, like you still want the MR. I say get it. You know that the 6gears are great, you know that the car looks really good in that graphite grey with those nice BBS rims. Not to mention the traction control it comes with and all the other little goodies you obviously know about. So I would day, get it. I'm going to the dealer next week and trading in for the MR.
