Seat Help.........please

hey all i was just curious if anyone has ever tried to take off the cover, of the top of the stock seat on your evolution? whether you did it for cleaning or whatever, i was just curious if you have done it or not. if you did was it hard to get back on correctly, and what did it involve. again........ the seat cover on the stock evo recaro seats. thanks, for any input in advance.

seat cover being the fabric that covers the stock seat. not leather. my aunt is a wiz with the sewing machine, and i was going to get my name emboidered, in the same color and font as the RECARO slogan, above it. think that it would look awesome and have never seen anyone with it. ^ is there screws for the plastic, or a zipper somewhere? thanks.

I have taken 2 off and switched them. Its not too hard. You just have to pull the seat apart(top and bottom) then just unclip the edging that holds it on around the seat. Once you get it all opened up there are 2 tubes that attach the headrest part. They have a clip on them that holds it all together. Once you get those clips off with a screwdriver the top comes apart. The hardest part is getting the plastic sholder harness guided in the seat apart. They are basically just pushed toghether and it takes a bit to pry them apart without damaging them. When I get back in the country I will try to elaborate on it more. Hope this helps

Hey, Sorry I couldnt get my seat back this week to pull it apart for you. Not too sure when I can get it. The date keeps getting pushed back

But it really isnt that hard. Like I said the hardest part is pulling apart the plastic seatbelt guide in the headrest. But I dont think you need to do that unless you are pulling it totally apart.
