I did a bad thing.....
Ok so I told the gas station dude to fill the tank up with premium gas right...
So I proceed to walk into the store pick up some drinks etc come back to find him topping off my tank with 89 octane crap... I wasn't happy so now I got this tank full of ****ty gas... I figure ok just take it easy on the car play nice with it run the tank to empty and get a good tank of gas next time
I'm on my way home and of course this M3 wants to play and I'm not one to back down so I end up doing 120+ to toast this M3 with a tank of crappy gas
I hope my poor car is ok damn I hate having this stupid Ego that wont back down its ganna get me in trouble some day.

ouch. I don't know if the evo has a knock sensor that will pull timing, but, if it does, you should be alright. Most new cars will pull timing a bit if "bad" gas or a lower octane gas is put in by mistake.
hope everything works out. Nice job with the M3.

You'd know if the car was running poorly on that gas.. you got lucky and probably didn't do any harm (Aside from the stupidity factor) the ECU would have definitely reigned things in.. UNLESS.... You have a reflash that equalizes the two maps, or are running a standalone that doesn't automatically compensate for anything.

LooL ..
Seriouly guys , If you baby your car to much it then something will happen to it.. the first year I got my Evo I babied it like it was my own child and got to change the clutch twice in 1 year and both were heavy duty twin plates, and got to change the syncro and heck a lot of stuff....
Now I just drive it like it should be.. Yeah I do get strange sounds from time to time.. but I know the next day the car won't have that sounds and they usually go away.. same with the fuel in this situation.. I'm not making this us.. I put some low octane fuel in my car couple of time and my car is programed for a 98 Octane and nothing is wrong with the car.. It's you that need to be checked..lol.. J/K

I would stay away from boosting it till the tank is empty.. But when you get room in the tank (which you probably already do) put in a bottle or 2 of octane booster. This way it'll help protect you even more when you get those "Spirited" urges to toast an M3!!

octane booster is a waste of money. each bottle raises the octane two points, each "point" is a tenth of an octane rating. You'd need about 15 bottles to get the gas from 89 octane to the equivalent 92.
YMMV,
