Also, if you look carefully, they're running 255/40/17s. Do you think they can afford wider tires?
No need for any tires but those A-048 Advans.

It seems odd that they have that much money invested and use the factory Brembos and 255 A048 tires. Especially with wider fenders, why not wider tires?

wider size tires is not always better.

And you may also noticed that the size/offset of the wheels are different. Most JDM tuners run reverse staggered setup. Wide up front and slightly smaller size in rear. In this case, Advan A048s 255/40/17 on the 9.5" width is more than enough to provide grip and exiting corner speed.

A lot of stateside tuners with wider tires at this event didn't even come close competing against the cyberEVO. And its not even their "home turf"! imagine what it can do with more lap times..

It says it's pushing about 650 bhp due to the poor quality of gasoline, it typically puts out 700 to 800 bhp on Japanese gas. Weight is around 1100 kg.
