Anyone have brake caliper finish problems

If so, has anyone gotten a dealer to warranty the calipers to fix the problem. Thanks for the input

A freind of mine here in Tampa did. His issue was the clearcoat flaking off. It had dull spots on two calipers in the red paint. Problem is, it took him about a month and a half of fighting with to get it replaced.

Good luck!

If you track the card hard enough, you will end up with "brownbros" cuz the paint will turn a brownish color from the heat :P

And yeah, Brake Cleaner Spray will #@CK UP your caliper paint too. Well, I don't know if all of them do, but the one I tried did bubble up my clear coat.

Im thinking of powder coat my calipers Yellow anyway. Hmm.. I smell a weekend project :P

You will have a hard time getting them to warranty the clearcoat flaking problem, but if you keep on them, you might get it done. Mitsubishi seems to not want to take a stand either way on it so each dealer seems to be making its own decision.

I am still trying to get my local dealer to replace mine. I am almost about to quit trying because it's giving me a headache and the new calipers will flake again next year so what's the friggin point?

I know a guy locally that polishes anything. and he's damn good. He polished his entire engine and everything under the hood on his 95 RX7. I wouldn't trust him to port+polish my head, but for visual polishing, he's the bomb. The calipers will polish out very nicely, then I will hit them with high temp clear and hope for the best!!
