Is this going to mean that they stretched out the ratios for the american 5-speed?
Very good point! I hope not.

Well, it will be interesting to see what tranny our comes with. Can't wait for the LA Auto Show. I really hope I'm back up here in time for it. If not..might have to change my ticket and sleep on the streets until the dorms open...geez, the stuff I'd do to see this car on its debute date.

I would ...

beauty is in the eye of the beholder. but if I'm the beholder, I would remove the center divider on the grille opening and do away with the two slots on the fascia and make it solid. as it is now, it's got an awful lot of openings. the only other remedy, aside from getting an aftermarket front fascia if they ever get to that, is to get one in black. but if it gets to 60 in around 4.6, I may still get one.

Rumors are that it is not the L.A. auto show, but the Detriot auto show. The dates for that correspond to the countdown MUCH more accurately.

Looks like the evo will be at the LA Autoshow. It is listed as a North American Debut. http://www.laautoshow.com/debut.asp

Let's hope the "confirmed" hp of the EVO is 271, not 250 like the LA auto show says. http://www.laautoshow.com/debut.asp

Is it really that big a deal if its 271 or 250? Its an awesome car, and even 250hp will get you up and moving... besides, i'm sure with some modding you could have it up there anyways.

Well 21hp is quite a difference. Why would I drop 30k on a car then put gobs of more moeny into it just to boost 21hp where it should be 271 in the first place?

If you consider $150 for a mbc then yes that would be consider a gob.

Turbo cars, are the cheapest to modify. All electronical. Make it catless it'll fly. But then again probably know if the hp is too low everyone will modify and void warrenty

Yeah, to do it right with ecu upgrade turbo back exhaust, intake, will proably cost 2k if they are not ripping us off.

Yes, it will be there too, but it will be first at the Detriot show, Jan 5th (Media Day).
