threaded shift knob adapters

There's a Momo shift knob that I want. However, I don't like the way the momo knobs use set screws to hold itself onto the shifter. It ends up leaving dimples on the shifter. I've seen threaded adapters before, but don't know who makes it or where I can get it. Anyone know where I can get one?

If no one makes them, I was thinking of just making one out of stainless steel stock. Make the O.D. match the I.D. of the momo shift knob. Use the set screws to hold the adapter to the knob and screw the knob with adapter onto the shifter.

I bought a Ractive knob (knock off of momo knob made exactly the same) and it came with a plastic adaptor that fit over the shift post that the knob screwed into. I like it because it put the dimples into the plastic instead of my shifter and didn't cost a dime extra.

Is the plastic strong enough to keep the knob on there during hard shifts?

it worked good for me I put a little big of super glue around the screws just to ensure they didn't loosen up but I raced that lil car around all the time and it seemed to do fine. Just make sure the screws are really tight (I had to redo mine cause I didn't have them tight the first time)

I had a momo shift knob in my 1g DSM. The set screws always came loose every few months. I'll probably put some loctite on them to keep them in place if I get another momo knob.

Thanks for the info!
