Somone please verify if that's correct. What a cow for being basically a RSII?
No active diffs with that weight. Hard to believe!

Yes, that is exactly what i'm saying. It weight about the same as the full GSR evo. I just want to note that the beam added doesn't weigh 300lbs! I still feel misubishi will give us ACD b/c it's probably cheaper on their production end since all evo 8 will have them including the RS.
I figure with the added beam and ACD plus the evo 8 is lighter then the 7 32-3300lbs sounds about right even with AYC! If that weight is correct it means we have at least one or maybe both!

I thought it was already a known fact that the initial allotment of Evo VIII's will not contain ACD and AYC. At this point I don't even care if it comes with them or not. My main concern at this point is my $1000 deposit I left may have been a complete waste of time considering the fact that dealers are going to tag on enormous amounts of money to the sticker price and hte dealership I"m dealing with is so sneaky that although I was the first one to put down a deposit, it probably doesn't mean jack **** in their book. I do have it in writing that I am entitled to the 1st Evo VIII they receive there was also mention of Fair Market Value to be paid and that was their way of screwing me if I only want to pay sticker price. I'm willing to pay $33,000 but no more, I know I'm kidding myself, I should probably go and just get my deposit back and wait 5 years. LOL

I think the extra weight is from the Infinity sound system with monster subwoofer in the trunk...
Seriously though, the car better be under 3000 lbs without the 6 speed, ACD, and AYC. Where did this extra 250 or so lbs go to? Crash worthiness?

No ideal where the 250lbs was added. Maybe they made ductle iron door and bumper beams
I sure hope they suprise us with ACD. Fireball probably knows if he asked? Would you please ask your sorce if they'd see the snow, tarmac, and gravel on the dash or the ACD button when they took the pic?

Also, this mentions "curb weight". To me, that means fully fueled, oil, antifreeze and all the other greases and whatnot in the car. My understanding, is most car specs you get is the car "dry" or without any fluids in them.
I'll ask around and see what I can come up with.

It's always curb weight in the states. Thanks for asking! Maybe they messed up and put ACD on all evos
Also want to add a tank of fuel is about 50Lbs? I'd bet somone have the specific wt of gasoline.
250lbs is still too much over what your sources say. I hope you didn't say 2900lbs just to fuel the hype.
