yeah....its a sneak upgrade. I have a buddy who sells them and he got his latest shipment last week and it had the pop in all of them. It is for the instant on bullsh*t that the cops use a ton now from what i gather. I am getting a upgrade for sure....i almost got caught by that stuff last week...lol

I talked to the purchaser for the Michigan State Police, the Supplier of the POP gear, AND the Chief of Police, BEFORE I went to court and "verified" all my research.
Although cops WILL write tickets for it, FIGHT THEM, and do your research before hand.

No, pop mode is when they trigger their radar for a fraction of a second instead of leaving it on. It's not nearly as accurate as leaving the radar on.
But I'll skip the V1....the Passport 8500 X50 is calling my name. From what I've read its at the top of the game right now.

just upgraded my 3 year old V1 last month & when i got it back from valentine it had the dual mode POP protection
on a side note, i wouldnt trade my V1 for any other Detector on the market, even if you gave me 500$ with the trade. i have owned other detectors & none of them can compare to the peace of mind given by the V1's Bogey identification & counter
