Haven't done this myself. I've read that you unplug neg. terminal, pump break pedal a few times, wait for 10 min. Then restart and let idle for a few min. Then drive it run through all gears into high rpms. I think you can also unplug the ECU fuse in the fuse box.

why are you doing it the hard way?

Do it like me.

On the passenger side where the ECU is. There is 4 plugs. 2 big ones on the sides, 2 small ones on the middle.

Disconnect the 2 big ones on the side for 5 seconds, plug it back in, resets your ecu.

Becareful taking the ECU cover open. It's right below the glovebox.

Have fun and don't pull too hard.

oh, one more thing. ONce you've done it my way, the RPMs going to idle start at 2000 RPM.

let it idle for couple of minutes then turn your car off. Then Start again and it'll idle at normal.

How to Reset your ECU without disconnecting your battery or even getting out of the car.

1 Locate the ECU Cover

2 Remove it the cover carefully from the engine side clips.

3. You'll see 4 yellow plugs.

4. disconnect the ones on the side of it for 5 to 10 seconds.

5. start the car, let it idle for 5 minutes or so

6. turn the car off, turn it on again, let it idle for 5 minutes before you drive.

7. Enjoy your warmth and the joy of killing the cel light. That and you don't loose your radio stations.

ps. don't mine the red thing, it's my multi power plug mounted on the ecu cover.

I think taking off the negative is a bit easier....IMO. My car is a pain to get those plugs off.
