712whp Evo in Turbomag
Anyone seen this in the Feb 2005 issue of Turbo mag? It has a red evo on tha front cover. Its equipped wit a HKS t51 turbo which barely fits in the bay. wit 10psi they tested it and it had around 400+hp. Amazing beast. Injectors are somewhere near 2000cc's. Has dual HKS SSQV bov's. 4 inch piping, Went to turbo mag's site but didnt see the article. Anyone wanna scan and post it would be nice. Its a freakin amazing car. Mag also has a moderately stock looking (mazdaspeed bodykit) rx8 wit 950hp. 2 beasts in 1 mag. Check it out

i believe they got 712whp outta 32psi. Yup its the Boost solutions evo. Its a pretty sick car. Love the massive FMIC and the piping. NO it is def not a stock motor. THe motor was blueprinted and cryo treated from what i read.

if it was the same as they where planning then it was a custom 2.3 ltr stroker (prob using OE 100mm crank). turbo is the HKS51????, can churn out about 1000ps (well over 900bhp) i think the cooler uses a Supra core. they had trouble with a single BOV as it kept bloing the air filter off! i also remember them saying they where looking to run the thing at around 45psi. Boost solutions also said that they may be usinf a 100shot of N2O to help spool the turbo. also using very high lift (around 12mm i think) cams.
nice show case car but i think RnR 2.4 Gt35R engine would be better for the road!
thanks Chris.
