stock seat broke

I've leaned over to reach stuff sitting in the back seat once and I heard a loud crunch come from the seat. I could've swore I broke it in half by the sound it made. After further inspection I noticed that the side part of the fabric is attached to some plastic clips which became violently detached from the seat when I leaned over. I just used the car key and stuffed it back in, and all is well.
Is this perhaps what your seat did, or did it literally break in half?

happened to me to.
The same thing happened to me as I was getting out of the car. The weather was about 30 degrees. I had about 300 miles on it and the dealership replaced it under warranty. If it breaks three times, it will be declared a lemon car in Minnesota. So the dealership would have to find me a new car. I'm about 5'10," 185lbs. So the seat should of been stronger, considering it's made to hold you and withstand pressure. Just take it back to the dealer. Even with mods, they can't deny you since the seat has nothing to do with an exhaust or intake, which shouldn't void the warranty.
