EVO gearshift difficulties solve

anyone try this out? I am thinking of doing it, but have no idea what they r saying. can someone explain?

I don't know how the Evo shifter linkage is set up, but on my previous DSM (fwd turbo Laser), there was a fix for a resistant shifter which involved taking off the front/back and side/side linkage from the shifter cable end links and readjusting it until the ends slipped into the shafts on the shifter itself with no resistance. Then you'd go out and drive, stopping every once in a while to adjust the ends of the linkage at the shifter. Eventually, I got my car to not only shift smoother, but my second gear grind disappeared! Again, I haven't looked at the Evo linkage but I think that if it is similar to the DSMs, it may be worth a try.
